MESSAGE SDSE 2025

Background
Welcome to the 2025 International Conference on Smart Devices and Sustainable Energy (SDSE 2025), taking place from October 15th to 17th, 2025 in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Building on the success of previous editions, SDSE 2025 reaffirms its commitment to renewable energy and environmental sustainability, while introducing artificial intelligence as a new thematic focus. This expansion reflects the conference’s evolving vision and seeks to foster new perspectives through cross-disciplinary exchange.

SDSE 2025 will feature twenty esteemed scholars, including four plenary speakers, two keynote speakers, and fourteen invited speakers, who will share cutting-edge research across the three core domains. Topics will span next-generation energy conversion systems, intelligent sensing technologies, and AI-driven innovations in science and engineering.

The conference is proudly hosted by Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT) and meticulously organized by its College of Engineering, which encompasses the Research Center for Intelligent Medical Devices, Organic Electronics Research Center, Center for Plasma & Thin Film Technologies, Battery Research Center of Green Energy, Center for Environmental Sustainability and Human Health, Center for Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, and International Ph.D. Program in Innovative Technology of Biomedical Engineering and Medical Devices.

Following the success of SDSE 2024, which brought together more than 300 participants from countries including the United States, France, Sweden, Finland, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, India, Thailand, and Vietnam, and featured over 280 poster presentations, SDSE 2025 aims to broaden the scope of international engagement and diversify channels for academic exchange across emerging fields. We warmly invite the academic and professional community to submit peer-reviewed poster papers, as part of our effort to foster an inclusive academic environment that promotes knowledge exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and impactful research. With your valuable contributions, SDSE 2025 is expected to attract more than 350 researchers, engineers, professors, and students, and to showcase over 300 peer-reviewed poster presentations, encompassing a broad range of topics in smart technologies, sustainable energy, and AI applications.

To recognize outstanding contributions, the conference will continue the tradition of the “Wang’s Sustainability Poster Awards”, established in honor of Mr. Yung-Ching Wang and Mr. Yung-Tsai Wang. These awards reflect the founders’ enduring commitment to the values of diligence, perseverance, frugality, and integrity, and represent their vision of social contribution through technological and academic excellence.

With its global perspective, evolving themes, and commitment to impactful exchange, SDSE 2025 aspires to be a premier international forum for advancing smart, sustainable, and intelligent technologies. We look forward to your participation at SDSE 2025—where innovation meets sustainability.
